OUR STORY

Good Sport Pilates started with a feeling.

Amanda grew up as an athlete. To Amanda, Gymnastics was more than just a sport. Gymnastics was her safe space. At school she watched the clock ticking away and counted down the minutes until she could put on a sparkly leotard and flip around with her teammates.

Amanda’s love for movement led to a full-time career as a professional acrobat, which allowed her to tour the world with some of the world's leading acrobatic companies.

Then, everything shifted.

Somewhere along the way, Amanda found herself injured with a torn hamstring. To ease herself back into movement, Amanda gave Pilates a go, and it was love at first class. Not only did Pilates rehabilitate her injury quicker than she could have imagined, but she found herself becoming stronger and more mobile than ever before.

After discovering how powerful Pilates can be, Amanda decided to become a qualified Pilates instructor herself. As she dove deeper into the industry, she realised that Pilates services are often targeted to one specific demographic. Pilates was never meant to be for one type of person, so Amanda found herself driven to make a change.

So she created Good Sport Pilates.

To help people build strength, move better, and feel capable in their bodies—whether that’s for sport or everyday life.
